MOE Dinner & Dance 2007

Attended MOE Dinner and Dance just yesterday. Being a proclaimed Mountain Tortoise, it was my first time attending such a big D&D. Quite an experience i must say. It went on like what i expected.

After the 25th Anniversary concert rehearsal, seeing that i have some time left, i went back home to shower and get changed. With a not too obvious change of hair colour, i went back to school to pick the rest up before proceeding to the destination. At the SAFRA Mount Faber CARPARK, Auntie Ellen also put some glitter on my hair at my request. hahah... Quite wu liao right????

The Emcee was very good. I think he can converse in 4 different languages, mainly tamil, english, simple chinese and even malay language. Wow.. Quite talented. He really knows how to set the atmospehere right. It was a night of fun. Played Bingo but luck was down on me that night. Didnt manged to win anything though the game was not played like it used to be.

The door gift and table gift was not bad i must say. The clapper can be used as a teaching resource/classroom management resource in the classroom in the lower primary levels. The table gift is a big magnet with paper clips on it. Quite useful in the office i muz say.

The 8 course dinner was very good. Had suckling pig (wow... long time nvr eat that alr), shark fins (Real type) and many other things that were quite special like prawns in wasabi sauce. It was quite worth the $30 i must say.

Didnt get to win the top 20 prizes. The grand prize was a trip to Disneyland in Hongkong. Haiz.... Can onli see the dream float further and further from me. But ok, i gt win a small prize of 2 Golden Village movie tickets. Better than nothing.

I used to wonder how girls can walk with high heels. Look at this pic all bros of the world. I think females are really one of the species difficult to understand. How can anyone in the world wear this type of heels to work, esp when u r a teacher in school...

The photo above is absolutely true. This pair of legs and heels belongs to one of my teachers in school. Due to privacy reasons, she asked not to be named in this blog. But those who knows the teachers in my school, esp my dept, you shld know who she is. ItS really a wonder how she can stand up for so long in this heels. I think she siao liao. Oh ya, forget to mention, she is alr a mother of 3.

After months in the school, I recieved a name tag from TVPS. Actually was looking forward to the nametag but then, when i saw it, i was a bit, you know..., diaoz... It was like the nametag i had so many many years ago when i was a prefect in Sec Sch lor... So sianz... I think this wednesday i have to wear it together with the school tie. Next time i will upload it here, so obiang!




During the Deepavali holiday, i went to JB with Adrian to buy things for my kids in school as the term is drawing to an end. Was shopping in Cold Storage when he suddenly saw this milk can for pple who wants to gain weight. haha.... So nice. Even if u are illiterate, u can surely understand the meaning once u look at this pic. How comprehensive...

Tea + Beer = Disaster ?

Its been a long time since i went Tea Chapter @ Neil Road. Finally gt the chance to go there last friday evening. Nothing changed except for the price increase (wat's new ?)

Enjoyed the time there. Quite quiet, serene.... Will go there again very soon. Suddenly realise that its a nice place to have some time to myself.




After the tea session, we went to Corpthone hotel (I don know how to spell the name.. Pai Seh..) Had beer and some food over there. The ambience quite decent but i find it a bit too dark. Actually wan suggest to go Lunar but then i think that day they hav some function there and the place will be packed. hENCE, decided agst it.
WTH!!! I gt a major headache after drinking the beer.. Shucks! Shld have drank vodka instead. I don know why my reaction agst beer is so strong. I cant drink beer for nuts. After the drink, i cant wait to go home and slp. Luckily no "hungover" the nxt day.

Let's Paint The Town Red!!!

Yeah, finish all the recording alr for the PSLE papers. Woah ho! At last... 4 long days and its finally over!

To celebrate this joyous occasion, we decided to treat oursleves to a good meal and paint the town red. After we were dismissed from Pei Chun Public School, we (Ellen, Amber, Darren, Mei Chin & Yipei and me) went to Toa Payoh Sizzler restaruant to hav a sumptious meal. John also joined us in the lunch. I had a spicy chicken. Actually, a bit regret. Cos, i think order the salad buffet can alr. The salad buffet gt so much variety that you can eat till full liao, i don know why i still order main course.

But ok lar, we all were satisfied (full stomach) after the lunch. Crack a few jokes there before we decided to go home and rest in order to be ready for the battle @ night.

Ellen and Amber are supposed to meet Darren together wif Mei Chin and Yipei to go to Clarke Quay earlier but then, don know why they were late. haha... In the end, they went down together with me.

Shhhhh.... Tell you a secret. There is actually a KOPITIAM in Clarke Quay at the Central Mall. haha... Luckily i brought my uncle card "Kopitiam Card" along nad managed to save some $$$... haha... Ate my dinner there before proceeding...

Nxt we went to Lunar. Lunar was good i guess. It was the first time i went to a club where they played chn music. Yes, yes.... I very mountain tortoise, nvr went Dragonfly before. It was a kind of Fusion pub and I like the idea a lot. The onli bad part was that we couldnt find any table for us. The drink there also a bit CMI. I ordered vodka lime but it was so diluted lor.. Drink alr no kick. So proceed to order Vodka shot. Treated John and the rest one each also. Can taste more alcohol in that one but still no kick. Sianz... But the music I like!! I would definetely pay Lunar another visit but muz make sure that i make reservations first.

Having sianz of standing around, we decide to move on to another place. Initially wanted go Brezwerkz, but saw "Forbidden City" along the way and i suggested to go in to take a look. I like the deco and music. Very lively and energetic but no dance floor, so a bit off track. Wanted to stay longer to enjoy the mucis but some of them werent very comfortable with the music and hence, decide to move again.. haha... Then i was hoping that we go pub hopping throughout the nite. Hahah... Relieve some memories of army life where i used to do that kind of thing like every week end when hell gets loose, haha.

Went opp the river to Cafe Iguana but it was packed with people. Walked down to Brezwerkz but they onli open till 1am... Wat the ..... Which shop/pub/cafe/restaruant in Clarke Quay onli opens till 1am? It either they earn too much money for the day or they wan to save on licence fee.

Luckily Mei Chin suggested a jap restaruant on the 4th floor of the Brezwekz that might open quite late. Coolzzz... The restaruant opens till 2am. haha... Good good. so up we went. Ordered drinks and a few sushi to share amg us. The place is good and the dessert was nice. So nice tht i forgot to take pic of it. haha... Not to worry, we took a grp photo at least. Introducing the pple in the pic. First row starting from the left was Yipei, Mei Chin and Ellen. Second row starting on the left was Sebastian (Yi Pei's BF), John, Amber and last but nt least, handsome Me!! haha.. FYI, Darren went off early to play mahjong.. Pang Seh lorx...

On the whole, quite enjoyed myself last nite. Had a bit of fun though i wasnt even high. Alcohol content not really strong. Should drink some sake in the restaruant but then no one ordered. haha... So i also pai seh to order.

Hope nxt time we all can go pubbing again. I love it. ItS been ages since i went last pubbing..

My buddy seems to be quite stressed out lately. Hoep he can get over this period soon. Hey shortie, the sem is gg to be over cery soon. Jia You!!

I'm so sorry but I have a question....

Yea..... PSLE marking coming to an end. The endless counting of marks jus make my head swim in a sea, no no... Ocean of numbers.... And also, this is my first time using my calculator after i put it away after the end of my JC 'AO' math, haha...

Despite the numerous complaints i have, i still quite enjoy this week, haha.. Went to this korean restaruant in Square 2 yesterday. Hansom or something like tat. The food there was quite nice. We ordered quite a lot of food. The onion was very nice when on BBQ. Loved it man! Enjoyed it so much that i went home and continue BBQ onions on my toaster.

I was placing my cheque in the bank in Hougang Pt tis evening when i saw this mother saying this to her son on the escalotor:" Boy, can u don always talk to yourself?" I was quite bewildered by this statement, haha... Does she think that her boy is autistic or something?

Then, i start to think..... When some children talk too much, we ask them to shut up. When children talk to us, we told them nt to bother us. Now, they talk to themselves, we ask them nt to do so. haha, the child mus be wondering, then who can italk to. If i don talk, then adults ask me to be more vocal. If talk, then they ask me to keep quiet. What shld I do? Anyone can advice???

Onboard Cruise Virgo

It trip was done is June and I only blog it today, hahah...

Wanted to go for a short trip before i enter the workforce. Hence, went on this 3 day 2 nights cruise to KL shortly after the Sin-Ma FA Com 2007.

Superstar Virgo was not bad. Had quite an enjoyable trip. Had participated in some activities onboard. The facilities were not bad.

One thing i want to mention is, the bed is damn nice. Not that its is super big or wat, it jus feel very nice in bed and i really enjoy my sleep very well, haha... Like "Rock A Bye Baby On A Tree Top..."

The food was onli ok ok... However, the scenery and the time spent with my friends easily compromised on that factor.

Did quite a lot of thinking onboard. The sea breeze and ambience really sets one free...
