Just received letter of acceptance from UniSIM

For those that don't know, I have dropped the BA Chinese Language Course and applied for the BA Translation and Interpretation course.

Tis BA Translation and Interpretation has always been my ideal course. Owing to the cock up to MOE, i have no choice at that pt of time but to apply for the CL course as i didnt want to waste anymore time. After i gt accepted in to UniSIM (BNU), a circular from MOE came, stating that the BATI course is also one of the accepted course in MOE. WTH!

Weighing the pros and cons of these two courses, I deceided to forfeit my course fees for BACL and applied for the BATI.

Adv of BATI:
1) If i decided to leave teaching career (highly nt possible for nw),
I will have alternative ways
2) This courase have honours programme which might encourage me to
study harder for the sake of money. heheh
3) I have 10 Credits exemptions from this course meaning i study less
4) Studying two langauges at one time means my language standard will
not be lop-sided.
5) I think i will enjoy tis prog much more than BACL.


DisAdv of BATI:
1)I have to forgo the course fee paid for this year.
2)Wasted money for the buying of books.
3)Fork out more money for the new course
4)If accidents happen and i didnt get the course.Then i will be
两头不着岸。Coz I have to forgo my BACL course then re-apply for
BATI.

However, i got into the course and gt the 10 credits exemption. Nw wat pain me is that i need pay money lor... But happy lar, gt into the course i wanted.

So pissed!!!

Had the Meet The Parent session 2dae @ my sch.

Everything was gg on fine when i met one parent fr a particular class.

Below was the conversation:

Parent: By the way, how old are you?

Me: 25 years old.

Parent: Ooh, how long have you been teaching?

Me: Till now, a year already

Parent: Ohhh, it means like u jus grad fr NIE nt long ago?

Me: Yah, last june i jus grad from there

Parent: Huh? You mean new teachers can teach 深广班？Then the expereinced teachers
just teach normal classes?

Me: Diaozzzzzzzzzz

WTH lor! New teachers don hav ability to teach in gd class meh? Moreover, nt like tis class is higher mother tongue. Juz that in tat lvl, this class chinese is better. On the average, the whole class manage to progress. For this particular mother's child, she was improving too. If she's doubting my ability, then she can jolly well take her daughter out fr my class. So angry tat i even forgt who tat child is....

Went to this saloon at Compass Pt nt long ago as my fav haircut Aunty went to China for pleasure trip.

1) Don like the new hairstyle the hair stylist cut for me.
2) Colour too Bright. I mean, yah, although the new P says can dye hair alr. But i don wan to get off his line. I mean, even I find that its too bright to be in this career.
3) Hair was too long for me (for those who know me knows i don really other parts of my hair too long except for my fringe.)

Tada! There's my new haircut. Q uite like it. The way i wan it thought the result was a bit beng. Color cant see nw. Need a few wash before the real color comes out like any other hair dye.

Nice Findings

As i was going to my car fr Esther;s house, saw tis car in the carpark. Either he's the owner of the online strrt directory or he gt a nice discount on the car bcos he helped advertise the coy. Wonder if one day i gt lost and saw tis car on the street, can i approach him to ask for directions?

Similarities

Went to Esther New house last sat.

Like the house as it was very windy. However, it was too low to enjoy the sea view at Pasir Ris park tat is walking dist away. Supposed to help her unpack her stuff. But in the end, we bought her lunch, had lunch till 2/3 pm. Then view her new house, then go Ikea. haha... We offered but she resisted. Maybe she had her own way of unpacking. Like my mum, no matter how much others clean, she still prefer her own way.

Bought KFC to her house. Aunty Ellen also bought Haagen Daz ice cream cake! Yeah! Actually, ui don know whether can be called ice cream cake or nt. Theres no sponge cake in it. Jus ice cream shaped like a cake.

Was nt bad, very nice instead.But the strawberries really CMI. Sour and dry. Like a particular person i know in my workplace. When fresh, it look all nice and full of sweetness. But soon, you find that "it" sour and wrinkled inside. No substance. only nice packaging but once turn inside, all wrinkled, no vigor. Something like this chinese phrase "打肿脸充胖子”
