Selling Cookies

Went to help another YEP Leader in selling cookies @ Marine Parade thr.

My name card.

Cookies to be sold.

Wnt door to door to sell. Had quite an experience.

1)Some people thought u selling to them some renovation job. Wave u away even before you say anything till u say u r just selling cookies.

2)Some are obviouslt at home (C'mon, the radio is on) but they act as if they are not at home.

3)Some listen ot you attentively, action like wan to buy but then wave you off eventually ===> nvr buy

4)Some ask to see letter of autorization. ==>ok, pt taken.

5)Sosme ask u why u nvr help fellow singaporeans but help other countries.===?ok, must be more patriotic

6)Some interested in the cookies but upon hearing the price, close the door so quickly.

7)Some made use of their stupid barking dogs to scare u off.

8)Some were making out in the living room with the door wide open till you disturb them.

9)Some rich-looking people wait patiently for the $2 change while the others just tell you to keep the change.

10)Some don buy cause they don like to eat cookies...

Had quite a bit of fun. But extremely thirsty. Talk and talk and talk.

Then after the briefing, we wnt to Xin Wang for more chit-chat n makan. Had a nice time. Think this type of interaction is good la, mit up once in a while to update each other, reminsnce of the glorious (or not so glorious) past and to gossip, haha...

Sianz...

Got awoken by the rain and thunder and wind today.

So sianz lo. This ling wkend nvr pour. Then when sch reopens then pour. Wan to rest more also cannot.

Yesterday went to meet up with the YEP leaders. Had quite a interesting session as we shared amg ourselves what has been going on in our own indivudual grps. Had fun n laughter.. Think the other pple in the Mac think that we are siao or something, laugh till so loud. We meet @ Raffles City somemore lo, where people FLOCK.

But the outcome was good. Learnt many things. Best tstill, we decided that we wil meet at Joanna & Yiying grp chalet on the 17th. Hahah... Without their consent, we will jus gatecrash. While they are having their grp facilitation, we will makan our BBQ food and play our Big Two game. Let them be envious... Let them regret why they move on to Laos so early, heh heh......

Tian Fu @UOB Plaza

Went to give my buddy a treat yesterday. Went to the UOB plaza restaurant. Heard that it was good.

The layout of the restaurant. Quite okie okie onli....

Layout of the table. Simple n Elegant.

One thing unique about this Tian Fu is that they gt these waiters serving tea from this long spout teapot. Quite a unique feature. Wonder how they control the water.

We had to cross over to the other table to get the view. Though the doubt the view was nice, the customers needs to purposely go to the window to see the view, unlike Hai Tien Lou where we can see the view without any hindrance.

Couldnt resist taking pics though.. All these with my Omnia...

But one funny thing is that after the lunch, the waitress gave us two stickers. Said that we had to give this to the security guard. Hah hah.. Was thinking those who just went up to the restaurant then left, u know, those change your mind people. The security will ask them tons of questions? Hah hah...

Verdict: Hai Tien Lou ambience and food nicer, though more expensive.

Discovery: I can actually eat for a long long time. We went in about 1130am. Left around 310pm. Haha... Didnt relise i can eat so slowly. Of course, the slow serving time helps in my achieving my personal record too...

Celebrating Auntie Tan Birthday

Last wk was Auntie Tan Bday. Tog with otehr colleagues, we bought her a bouquet of flowers, a btl of wine (she glups down alcohol, trust me..), a cute bear and some chocolates. Had it delivered to the school to give her a surprise. Didnt get the chance to see the look on her face when she recieved it, haiz....

Then some of them went to had dinner with her at J8 that day. Initially I had tuition but i decide to cancel it. Bday leh, jus once a year.Auntie Tan ask me whether i cancel the tuition but i said that the tuition kid cancel himself so as not to let her feel bad.

Auntie Tan says she gg St James Power Station after dinner so she cannot bring the flowers home. But i don care, she MUST carry flowers today. So Ah Mah and I decide to buy her a small bouquet of flowers. At the florist, saw this huge bear that is very nice. Hence, bought her a bear as well.

Went to Manhattan Fish Market to give to the waitress there. Had them give the surprise to Auntie Tan. Wah, they really best lo. I was expecting they sing Happy Bday to her or wat. But no lo, just gave the bear and flowers as a matter of fact. Such a disappointment. Maybe we nvr tell them wat we wnat also bahz...

Ah Mah and I decide to treat her too. So we jio her to Pan Pacific to eat. We nvr tell her the location and kept her in suspense till we reach the place. SHe kept suspecting us coming up with some mischief. Wah lau, so childiah la, Auntie. We are mature alr la, whr gt surprise??? lol....

Went to Hai Tien Lo. The food was nice but nxt time must jio more pple thr so can eat more variety.

Arriving at Pan Pacific Singapore

Of course, view not as nice as this.... We went in the afternoon.

My creation. Tot the shells of the prawns too ugly to be left on the table. Hence, decide to rejoin the head and tail. NOt bad right? Kudos to my creativity juices. I admire myself, lol....

Auntie Tan and Ah Mah looking full and satisfied.

(Oh, did i mention that we had to drive Auntie Tan to Raffles Town Club to bathe cos she jus finish her Trekking training? The deco @ Raffles Town Club very ncie lo...)
