Tea CHapter

Went for a From Reading to Writing Course @ Teachers Network recently. Feeling bored, i decided to go Tea Chapter to hang ard. Since Aunty Ellen was tog with me for tis course, so asked her along.

As being the cannot sit still me, i decided to play with the tea leaves.

Moon Ladder

Holidays are here once again! Yeah!! Can enjoy once more. Who says it heavens for the kids? It heaven for us too !! Check out the discounts that UOB card have and i found this place "Moon Ladder" in thoase secluded nature park.

That place was good man! Can see the harbour and the ships sailing past. As it was raining in the noon, it felt cool in the evening when we reached. The ambience was very nice. I love the place though some of them complained abt mosquitoes. I was "unharmed".



We were all very hungry. Thought that tis pl should have some decent food but diaoz.. Nothing at all, jus finger food. Hence, we ordered this large basket of food: Mushrooms, prawns, silver fish and chix wings. Overall was nt bad but nt really fanstastic. Ended up eating smelly tofu, noodles, mushrooms (again) and pig intestines in one of those Geylang small eatery. Its very nice! I thought i cant stand the smell of the smelly beancurd but the Spore version is actually nice. Its the HK version tat i cant stand.

There was this "pool" jus beside the bar. Very nice, esp in the night. When we jus reached the pl, it was alr very nice. However, when the night sets in, the lights jus did the trick. THe whole idea of an island in the middle of the pool was fanstastic! The whole idea is a very dreamy type of feel.




I was thinking of how to celebrate my parents 25th Wedding Anniversary when i saw this pl. Think it will be a very good idea for them to renew their marriage vows in this pl. Invite some close relatives and friends will do! Don know how they will react.

Sushi Tei Arrangement

Went to Sushi Tei recently with Aunty Ellen. Actually quite bored alr with tat pl. Think its time to change a bit of eating place.

After some sushi, was feeling bored. Hence, decide to play a bit with the paper that the chopsticks was placed in.

Ta dah! The result!

Yesterday!!

Yesterday, the SJ people came down to transport the donation over. At 130,the councillors came down to help check the clothings and food.

We started with the clothes first. Actually, i didnt expect the result to be so overwhelming. I jus expect maybe a carload of things. But then, the clothes were so much that it had to be inside a toilet cubicle (that type of solo one for the disabled). We took out the clothes and tried to sort them out.

Some peeps very the "automatic". THey donated torn clothes and one sock tat type. I mean, its okie to donate this type of things. But u wan donate underwear, donate new ones lar... Don donate those used before one. Don know wat those peeps thihnking abt, maybe they think we are karung guni???!!! So the councillors have to take out bag by bag to check. After 1.5hrs of gruesome checking, i told them to stop alr lar.... Nt enough time to really check then put them into bags again. Hopefully no more dirty things are donated in those bags that we nvr check.



Then we move on to the food items. Yah, we met up with some unexpected donations as well. Expired and half opened itmes were also amg the food donations. Sianz lot. Maybe some peeps thought victims can eat expired food stuff while the "rich them" cannot touch them?

But most of them were nice enough. Even though the rice price is rising up, some parents still donated rice. Look at the result! Isnt it heart-warming?




Look at the boxes on the right hand side. At first, i thought it was some food stuff that the school has bought but not for the relief. But after checking with the office, it was actually one parent who drove in with a van and placed them in the room. Wow... The parent is so nice lor. Donate so many things.

Even up to yesterday around 3 plus, there were still parents coming in with food items lor. Wow!!



In all, we donated one ambulance full of clothes and one mini-bus full of food! Personally, i think it was great with jus one week of collection. Hopefully, the next time, we can have a longer time of collecting and hence, can collect more stuff.

Myanmar Relief

Recently, my boss in SJ emailed us with regards to a donation outreach to relieve the victims in the Myanmar Cylone. I just thought of forwarding the email to the teachers in my school to see whether we can help to donate some items or not. Howver, one thing leads to another. Lizan actually asked me whehter can make it school wide or not. Then after obtaining permission from my VP, who wrote a circular to the school, it became a whole sch outreach.

We didnt collect any cash but asked the students as well as the staff to donate food items, clothes and stuff. Wanyi said that it might be too troublesome for the teachers to buy food items on their own. Hence, she suggested to pool the money together then buy. So asking Aunty Ellen for her"high standard" of chinese, asked her to wrote a short note and passed the envelope around in the Mother Tongue Dept.

In jus one hour time, we've collected $550 in all. Wow! Got even two teachers donated $100 each. When i send out the email, i was thinking how come my dept teachers nvr answer to the email. Nw, i think its jus convenience sake bahz. Since they are a bit advanced in age, it might be a bit difficult for them to buy. But they are willing to fork out money instead.

So Aunty Ellen and me went to Sheng Siong Hypermart to do shopping. Wow.. I love doing tat kinda stuff (a bit uncle rite?). We each took two trolleys @ 1st and it was filled up jus in 15min time. In all, we filled up 4 trolleys to the brim.

The way that we swept the food into the trolleys, i think other consumers were thinking wat happen, is there another crisis cmg.. You should see their eyes when we were maneuvouring in the supermarket. Hahah.. wat a joke!

After putting all the food into the trolley, we decided that it was too much to put into my tiny weeny car. Hence, decided to ask manager whether can deliver for us or not. Luckily, the manager agreed! If not hor, don know how to transport lor.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Once again. I'm sick. Nt jus sick of someone in sch, but also sick physically.

Tis time worse than tat time. Juz 2day, i used up one whole box of tissue juz in the morning before i decide to use toilet ppr (more economically worthwhile). As of 2146hrs, i have used up one box of Kleenex tissue ppr, one Kleenex toilet ppr and two packets of Winne the Pooh tissue ppr, not to mention 1 whole tab of Panadol Cold Relief.

Think its all bcos of fri bahz. B4 the MTP session, someone mentioned that there are drinks in the hall and therefore, needless to bring own water. But then, i onli drink two cups of mineral water in the warm hall, not to mention that out of those two, one cup is given by my student who stun it from the classroom. Technically, one teacher onli gt one cup of mineral water during the whole session from 0800hrs to 1300hrs. I underestimate my self. Nxt time die die muz bring my own water bottle.

Then after the session, str8 go hav lunch treated by my Colleagues who juz gt promoted. During lunch, tried to drink as many cups of water as possible but then, don think enough. Then after lunch go out to watch play with my monkeys. When reach Raffles Hotel, oso cant get drinks cos THERE IS NO STALL SELLING DRINKS IN RAFFLES HOTEL!!!!!! Thirsty like don know wat lor.

When finaaly reach staff room after the play, i glup down 1 litre of cold water fr the pantry.Then after go home change, then str8 go for tuitiotn then KTV wif my NIE frenz till 3am before gg to geylang for supper.

But then, CMI alr. Sat morning wake up alr find gt the symtoms. Then ate some panadol before gg for tuition and the CHS band concert.

Yesterday was like shit, today is like cow dung.

大人不见了！

前几天，带了我那群猴子猴孙去莱佛士酒店的光华剧场看舞台剧《大人不见了》。


故事述说有一个小孩凡事都依赖别人，从来不肯自己做。为了让他成长，爸妈想尽办法逼他学做事。

这部舞台剧非常有互动性。演员除了在台上表演，也与观众有交流。有几位学生还被选中上台学习制作三文治。有一位猴孙，Jun Sheng是其中被选中的。其实，他敢自告奋勇上台参与演出， 令我非常惊讶！他平时较羞涩，不太爱发言。可能那天太High了吧！竟然上台了。

这时，不幸的是发生了！那几位被选中的同学说做的三文治，要有老师来品尝。糟糕！Jun Sheng还到台下邀我上台品尝。为了不让他失望，只好上台了。

演员们叫我们当场品尝。我起初是对那些三文治有所保留。因为那些学生没有洗手，就动那些面包，也不知道在这之前，那几位学生动过什么东西。可是，为了鼓励那些学生，我尝了一口。味道还不错。

后来，来到台下，我把那片三文治给了坐在我傍边的猴子。后来，我才惊觉现在有手足口症。如那位猴子有什么三长两短，岂不是告在我头上？但，我回头一看， 猴子早已把食物吞近他的五脏庙里。后来，我听其他老师说，一同和我被邀请上台的另一位老师，不敢吃拿片三文治。如果她的那一位学生是期待老师能够品尝自己做的食品，而老师又不吃，应该会有点失望吧！
